A few weeks ago we had a problem with a student: she had to take two courses this semester to start her professional practice and we couldn't find a way to avoid scheduling conflicts, since the only group in one of the courses that didn't have a schedule conflict was full.

I reviewed the academic standing of the enrolled students and identified three from that group who might be able to transfer. However, after an initial positive response, all three told me it wasn't possible due to other commitments they had made this semester: a tutoring position, language classes, etc.

The situation didn't look good, and the second week of classes was already beginning.

I left my office and went to the oratory to entrust the matter to Him, and upon entering, I found Pedro's face on a shelf where there are prayercards of various members of Opus Dei in the process of canonization. Something told me to entrust the matter to him.

So I took the prayercard and said to him: Pedro, help this girl who needs to resolve this matter.

I put the prayercard on my desk and continued working. A few hours later, an alternative (rather unusual, but plausible) arose, and we put it into action. I sent the corresponding notifications to the student and the professor, confident that this would resolve the matter.

I thought: Pedro, you've done me a favor. But the best was yet to come.

The next morning the professor contacted me: one of the three initial candidates had offered to give up one of her projects to free up her spot. This was truly a solution.

We proceeded to change the classes and leave everything in order so that a new week of classes could begin with all the courses for the student who needed it.

Now, Pedro had done the complete favor.
