I’ve been unemployed for a year, doing my absolute best to find a company that would take me on. Four months ago, I started the recruitment process with a company I was really excited about. I had more than six interviews with them, and in the end there were three of us shortlisted for the role… But one day they told me that, despite my excellent profile, they had chosen another candidate.
I was clearly very disappointed, but my mum, who was always by my side, asked me to keep praying and to have faith… She had two prayer cards on her bedside table, one of them of Pedro Ballester. One day when she wasn’t there, I went into her room looking for some comfort for my distress and saw the picture of Pedro. I read his story and felt a strong connection because we were born in the same year and he would be my age. Perhaps he would understand what I was going through.
So, with fervour, I asked him to intercede for me. Two days later, the same company called me back, retracting their decision and offering me the job, with a salary and benefits better than I could ever have imagined. I definitely attribute this miracle to him, and I am infinitely grateful to him!
