We went on a family trip to attend a cousin’s wedding in Cameroon in June 2026. Among other things, we encountered two incidents which Pedro resolved for us immediately.
Firstly, when we went to pay for four visas on the official website of the Cameroonian embassy in Madrid, there was a security breach and we were defrauded of 668.08 euros.
We had to pay for those visas again, this time taking greater care and using various security measures. We tried to get the money back. We filed all sorts of complaints and claims with various authorities and, after several weeks, had already written the money off as a loss.
However, on the very day we were due to leave for Cameroon, I thought of Pedro to see if he could get that money back for us… and no sooner had I thought of him (I didn’t even have time to say a prayer) than I received a notification from the bank saying that money had been refunded… (the amount for the four visas, as we were able to verify shortly afterwards).
Secondly, we hadn’t planned to check in our luggage (13 pieces for the whole family) to avoid extra charges and to travel more quickly, but due to a last-minute problem at ticket check-in, we were forced to check them in, from Madrid to Yaoundé, via Rome and Addis Ababa.
At Yaoundé airport, our suitcases didn’t turn up. Accepting the African pace of things, we also assumed they were lost. However, one of my nieces prayed to Pedro Ballester and suddenly all 13 suitcases appeared on the baggage carousel.
Thank you, Pedro…
