As a fellow student atthe University of Manchester, I have prayed to him. In response, I feelconsoled by his gentle and positive encouragement to persist. He persistedunder conditions of severe pain and no doubt great suffering. He is aninspiration to me when I feel demotivated and his positivity and joyfulpresence in the "now" sustains me as it teaches me to not look toofar ahead (I'm in my final year of PhD studies)! I draw strength from hiscourageous attitude to a life threatening illness which amazingly he ensuredwhile undertaking his studies.
I also feel he hasprotected my husband's family in Lebanon which is currently at war. They havebeen living under threat of death and injury but have so far come to no harm.
Finally, at a recentimportant celebration of a particular sacrament of one of my children, a verypeaceful atmosphere reigned. I believe the Holy Spirit was at work again andthat this was in response to intercessory prayers of Pedro.
