It has been a while since I last wrote, but I continue to receive countless favors from Pedro. I feel a bit embarrassed for not acknowledging each one, so I want to make sure I share this one with you.
I work as a doctor and at the same time manage a small household for 15 residents, with three invaluable staff members who help keep our home running smoothly. Last January, our cook left for a higher-paying job. Though I couldn’t match the offer, I fully supported her decision: she had a family to provide for.
Fortunately, I found a former staff member willing to step in, but she could only stay for a month. With just two weeks to go before her departure, I struggled to find a replacement. Despite receiving several referrals, none could start in time. A friend recommended someone, but she declined, preferring a job closer to her boarding house.
Growing desperate, I turned to Pedro, whom I consider a younger brother, pleading with him for help. "Maybe this isn’t your forte," I told him. "You were a student, and you never had to work with household staff, but please, Pedro, I need someone badly." This was just two days ago.
Then, today, out of the blue, I received a message from my friend – the same one who had referred the girl who declined. To my astonishment, the applicant had a change of heart. She had thought about our offer and now wanted the job. She humbly asked if we were still willing to take her in. My heart leaped with joy!
Now, I’m asking Pedro to help find a place for her to stay near our residence. But I won’t wait for him to answer before expressing my gratitude. Pedro has always been my ally – what a powerful brother in heaven!
Thanks to Pedro!

PS: Two days after I wrote this favor, Pedro helped me find accommodation for the staff. I couldn’t believe it!
