From New Jersey (USA): Yesterday, after chemo and radiation treatment, from the results of my latest PET scan, my radiologist declared that the cancer was gone; my oncologist concurred.
I am 71 years old, and live in New Jersey, USA.
In January of this year, I was diagnosed with nasopharyngeal cancer. My 7-week chemo and radiation treatment program commenced mid-February.
At the outset of the program, I started saying the prayer card of Pedro. I was introduced to him last October through a video about his short life, his valiant, courageous battle with cancer, which he accepted and endured with total surrender to God's will, yet with complete joy.
I wanted a friend in heaven who would accompany me on my own cancer journey. I asked Pedro daily to teach me how to abandon myself to the will of God, just as he did, to offer the sufferings for others, especially my wife and son who were my caregivers. And after the treatment program was over, my petition shifted to healing from cancer.
Yesterday, from the results of my latest PET scan, my radiologist declared that the cancer was gone; my oncologist concurred. Thank you, Pedro!
