I was taking a plane at midday bound for Bacolod City, in the Philippines, to attend a seminar. Another participant, a Singaporean whom no one of us had met before, was set to arrive at 10am in Bacolod from Singapore. I had arranged for her to meet up with someone coming from Manila at around the same time. Unfortunately, the latter missed the plane from Manila. I was waiting to board the plane when I was notified about this. I messaged several others whom I knew might have already reached Bacolod by 10am. It was likely that the Singaporean did not have a local SIM card as all our attempts to contact her failed.
Our last resort was to call the driver of the transport that was to pick us up, asking him to look for the Singaporean at the airport. Before I turned off my device prior to take off, I prayed to Pedro to entrust the matter to him.
I was flying with 3 other participants and our flight was on time. At around 3 pm, the driver arrived. From the outside, we saw someone inside the van. When the door was opened, it turned out that she was the one from Singapore. The driver, who only spoke the local dialect, managed to find her at the airport with the help of a security guard. I won’t go more into details of how she was found. But I asked our 'missing' companion at what time she was located. It was around the time I prayed the prayer card of Pedro.
The second favor from Pedro happened as the day was about to end. And this concerned the shower in my room. The knob got stuck and water kept flowing. I filled two pails with water, but my attempts to stop it weren't successful. People were retiring to bed at that time, tired from the long journey. My last resort would be to call the maintenance person. Before leaving the shower room, I prayed to Pedro. I wiggled the knob and to my pleasant surprise, it gave way. Thanks to Pedro, the water stopped from flowing.
